In the three days of May Day all roads lead to Lafonisi Chania

OUR HISTORY

The Lafonisios Road is held in honour of the massacred of 1824 on the island of Lafonisi.

The Lafonisio road historically began in 1960, and was initially organized by the Association of the Attica Enniachorians. The route was from Inachorio's Perivolia to the island of Lafonissi.

Since 2015 it is held every year by the organizing committee, "Lafonese Road Inachorian Routes".

THE ACTION

The Cultural, Cultural and Sports Association of the community of Vathis "MUSAGORES" based in Plokamiana Kissamos, Chania, in collaboration with the Regional Unit of Chania of the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Kissamos and the "Inachories Routes", represented by the cultural associations of the region, organize the historic race:

Race routes:

1. Half marathon road (21,1 km),Xotikospilios - Kampos - Livadia - Chrysoskalitissa:
A special Half Marathon 21,1 km, with a separate start from the entrance of the Elf Spilios (also a place of martyrdom) and finish in the courtyard of the Historical Monastery of Panagia Chrysoskalitissa

2. Classic route Livadia - Chrysoskalitissa (People's Race 7,8 km):
For running or dynamic walking, with a finish line also in the courtyard of the Historical Monastery of Panagia Chrysoskalitissa.

3. Children's route 1,1 km:
Starting and finishing in the courtyard of the Monastery of Panagia Chrysoskalitissa, on a small circular route in the settlement of Chrysoskalitissa.
