With great success was completed the Anniversary Lafonisios Road 2024, an event that managed to gather hundreds of runners and walkers from all over Greece and abroad. The event, which held on 28 April 2024, honored the memory of the massacred of Crete, connecting historical points and offering a unique experience to all participants.
The 18.4 km route from Keramoti to the Monument of Lafonisi was full of challenges, but also of magnificent landscapes. The athletes passed by the Xotikospilio, a point of historical importance, and ended up at the Monument of the Slaughtered, honoring the memory of our ancestors.
At the same time, the 6 km route from Chrysoskalitissa attracted both experienced runners and new participants, offering a shorter but equally impressive experience.
The 4 km walk, without the need to register, was an opportunity for families and friends to walk together, exploring the historic area and enjoying the beautiful nature.
The organizers express their sincere thanks to all participants, volunteers and sponsors who contributed to the success of the event. Thanks to everyone's cooperation, the Anniversary Lafonisios Road 2024 became an unforgettable experience for everyone.
